About us

The Urban Environment Department at the Technical Administration is responsible for the management, operation, maintenance, and development of Solna City's squares, parks, natural areas, streets, and roads.

We work to ensure that Solna has a clean, attractive, and safe urban environment with good and secure accessibility.

What does the job entail?

As a lighting engineer at Solna City, you will play an important role in developing and managing the city's lighting installations. You will work with lighting issues within streets and parks, with a particular focus on bridges, retaining walls, and other construction structures.

The work involves both technical reviews, operational and investment projects, and close contact with contractors, consultants, residents, and other administrations.

You will have budget responsibility for your projects and be responsible for invoice management.

Who are we looking for?

You have:

• post-secondary education in electrical engineering, lighting technology, engineering, or a related field, or work experience deemed equivalent
• experience working with operations or projects within technical facilities
• knowledge and experience in contract law, AB04, ABT06, and AMA construction
• the ability to follow up on contracts and work with simpler financial follow-ups
• basic knowledge of lighting systems, fixtures, and controls
• a valid driver's license (B)
• high IT maturity and good computer skills
• good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience in municipal operations, design, operations, and maintenance or contracting activities, as well as knowledge and experience in public procurement.
